From the high-altitude vineyards of Cafayate, Salta, this blend merges the boldness of Malbec with the distinct character of Tannat, embodying the uniqueness of this remarkable terroir. Grown at 1,700 meters above sea level, the dry climate, cool nights, and significant temperature variation create the ideal conditions for balanced grape ripening.
The sandy, rocky soils of Cafayate provide excellent drainage, inducing stress in the vines. This controlled stress reduces vegetation and yields fewer, more concentrated berries, resulting in a wine rich in flavor and complexity. A true expression of Argentina’s high-altitude winemaking heritage.
Purple-red in color, it has a lot of power, aromatic intensity, and penetrating fruity notes. It also has herbal notes, which make it very particular. Aromas of toasted plum, dark chocolate and blueberries predominate. On the palate, it is a powerful but soft and juicy wine, with very good acidity, which makes it perfect to enjoy with meats, cheeses, cold cuts and pickles. Best serve at 14°-16° Recommended aging: 5 years maximum.
